WASHINGTON -- An assistant editor at the conservative The American Spectator brags about his role in the incident on Saturday when Occupy DC protesters were pepper sprayed at the National Air and Space Museum at the Smithsonian. The protest targeted the drone exhibit there, following President Obama's decision to continue using drones for targeted assassinations.

Patrick Howley writes in The American Spectator that he infiltrated the Occupy DC movement the day before to discredit it on the pages of the The American Spectator.

"But as far as anyone knew I was part of this cause -- a cause that I had infiltrated the day before in order to mock and undermine in the pages of The American Spectator -- and I wasn't giving up before I had my story."

Although the original article was removed by American Spectator on Sunday http://spectator.org/archives/2011/10/08/standoff-in-dc , there's still a copy on the Internet: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1pzvJbtN4UfNaRnpjO08sjfJkTZGMZHtgP2kKDs-Ry_8/edit?hl=en_US&pli=1#

In the end Howley discredited no one -- except himself.
